          The production of compost is a delicate balance between oxygenation and the temperature of the material. A real follow-up is necessary. Oxygen is the key to the success of composting: it allows the development of aerobic bacteria and it is they that allow the degradation of organic matter while releasing heat. In the absence of air, anaerobic bacteria develop and generate odorous gases that can be a source of inconvenience for the neighborhood .

          Oxygen is essential to the life of organisms. Good ventilation will result in a good decomposition of organic matter (if the other parameters are present). On the other hand, poor ventilation will trigger anaerobic processes that will produce bad odors! It is during the degradation phase (also known as "fermentation") that the mixture must be ventilated. Aeration can be done basically by flipping, or by means of static devices, such as aeration rails under the compost through which air is breathed into the mixture. This process reduces the time it takes to produce compost from more than 12 weeks to 6 to 8 weeks. In addition, in this configuration, the temperature rises faster and decreases more gradually.

Partners of local authorities and private recycling operators, HANTSCH offers equipment and solutions adapted to its customers in the field of organic waste recovery by composting and energy recovery from solid waste.

Having also acquired a strong experience in the field of forest shredding and the treatment of green waste, HANTSCH has commissioned a wide range of equipment in France for forest maintenance and soil preparation. Today HANTSCH offers, through its partners (KOMPTECH, WILLIBALD, AHWI-PRINOTH, UFKES-GREENTEC) forest mulchers, stump cutters as well as chippers for the production of forest chips.

Thanks to its know-how, the HANTSCH company is present throughout France but also for export, in particular via its two subsidiaries BIOKOMPO (in Poland) and UMWELT-ELEKTRONIK (in Germany). Headquartered in Marlenheim in Alsace, the family business HANTSCH now has more than 40 employees. It includes a waste system engineering department, a 1600 m² manufacturing workshop, a spare parts store, a sales department as well as an after-sales service.

HISTORIQUE DE LA SOCIÉtÉ

1967

A ses débuts, l’entreprise est spécialisée dans le service après-vente et les pièces de rechange pour les véhicules Mercedes UNIMOG.

1968 : Création d’un atelier de réparation à Lingolsheim (banlieue de Strasbourg)

Embauche du 1er collaborateur : René Hantsch, frère de Didier, en tant que mécanicien.

A partir de 1976, création de la concession Mercedes-Unimog.
La vente de véhicules d’occasion, pièces de rechanges et services se développe.
Un déménagement à Marlenheim, avec création du 1er bâtiment dédié à l’activité « engins communaux » est nécessaire.

1980

Développement du broyage forestier avec rotors à axes horizontaux et des ventes du MB TRACK, véhicule forestier conçu sur une plateforme d'Unimog.

Mise en service du premier broyeur rapide Willibald, à la Ville d’Angers (49) : MZA 1500.

1995 : Mise en service du 1er crible à tambour Farwick
1997 : Distribution du premier matériel Komptech en France : le retourneur enjambeur  Top Turn 4000 pour Lingenheld (67).
Développement de l’ingénierie et donc du compostage, avec la réalisation des premiers sites avec système d’aération pilotée, grâce à un bureau d’études intégré.

En 1998, création d'un atelier dédié aux machines pour l'activité Environnement en plein essor.

 

2008

En 2008, Didier et Gabrielle Hantsch passent le flambeau à leur fils Christophe.

2014

2014 : Création de la première filiale, en Pologne : Biokompo.

Fin 2016, 10 installations de traitement des OMR sont installées en Pologne.

Le site Polkowice est inauguré et un hommage à Gabrielle Hantsch y est rendu.

2017

La société fête ses 50 ans.
