The tarpaulin maintains optimal moisture conditions, drains precipitation from the surface of the swath and protects it from drying out by the sun and wind. Aerobic humic fermentation is therefore optimized. Composting under tarpaulin also minimizes juice seeps.

    - The production of compost is a delicate balance between oxygenation and the temperature of the material. A real follow-up is necessary. Oxygen is the key to the success of composting: it allows the development of aerobic bacteria and it is they that allow the degradation of organic matter while releasing heat. In the absence of air, anaerobic bacteria develop and generate odorous gases that can be a source of inconvenience for the neighborhood .

    - Oxygen is essential to the life of organisms. Good ventilation will result in a good decomposition of organic matter (if the other parameters are present). On the other hand, poor ventilation will trigger anaerobic processes that will produce bad odors! It is during the degradation phase (also known as "fermentation") that the mixture must be ventilated. Aeration can be done basically by flipping, or by means of static devices, such as aeration rails under the compost through which air is breathed into the mixture. This process reduces the time it takes to produce compost from more than 12 weeks to 6 to 8 weeks. In addition, in this configuration, the temperature rises faster and decreases more gradually.

Speed shredder - Willibald

In both the preparation of biomass and the composting process, the latest Willibald series delivers results that until now were thought to have been unattainable. Many different materials can be processed exactly as required, thanks to the unique shredding systems of the EP series. In both their main area of use (namely composting) and the increasingly important biomass application, the Sharks have also become successfully established in the field of biogas substrate treatment. Furthermore, the "Willibald Sharks" are also used successfully for bark and peat processing, as well as for making wood chips from left-over and old wood materials (e.g. pallets) for use in thermal recycling. Choosing the type of Shark to suit your needs will perfect the shredding result in line with your individual material requirements.

On the EP 5500 Shark series, particular emphasis has been placed on the extended rubber conveyor belt. The increased discharge height allows the optimum use of limited space and also direct loading of container vehicles. The intelligent bend technology incorporated in the rubber discharge belt allows three basic discharge belt positions to be achieved quickly.
